The Midnight Sun Solar Race Team at University of Waterloo is always looking for new partnerships. We would like to invite you and your organization to become a part of our exciting project!

The solar car team's objective is education both for students here at University of Waterloo and for the public. Students get hands on experience on a 100% student project. Over 100 students from all faculties work on the car over the 2 year cycle, and dedicate their time and effort to advance research. Every 2 years we build a new car and race it in the United States and Australia. Thus, by becoming a sponsor, you and your organization will gain international exposure.

The team works hard to promote solar energy as an alternative energy source through such venues as shows and community events. We've been to the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto among others and fascinated people who came by to see our car. Please visit the Current Sponsors page to see some who has already supported our effort. These sponsors enjoy having their name associated with an educational and environmentally positive cuase. Sponsors including and above the Bronze range have their logos displayed on the car and the trailer and enjoy additional exposure to the general public. All our sponsors receive newsletters to keep up-to-date on our progress and have their name printed on the newsletters and materials we send out. Some sponsors find that partnership is a good way to be exposed to UWaterloo students as they are also employers of our graduates and wish to be recognized in the university community. We always try to gain extra exposure for our sponsors as well, in addition to participating in sponsor events.

We are looking for financial sponsorship as well as in-kind donations. Items we look for include computer systems and printers and stationary for our office, as well as car construction materials.
